“Always ask your injector what toxin they use.

Botulax, a product from South Korea which is licensed there and in other countries but not in Britain. Under the Human Medicines Regulations 2012, it is UNLAWFUL to sell or supply an unlicensed medicine, which includes practitioners selling treatments with these products.

Allergan Botox, Azzalure and Bocouture are the only 3 approved products in this country. Make sure your clinician uses U.K. pharmacies with licensed products.

There have recently been reports of many complications in the industry caused by non regulated clinicians using products from pharmacies that are not allowed to be injected in this country!!

Always do your homework and ask what is being used on your face”

Facial Aesthetics – wrinkle free neck

Although neck wrinkles are a natural feature of the aging process

there are a variety of things you can do to smooth them out.

Here are some of the most effective –

❶ DO NECK EXCERSISES – to tighten and tone the neck muscles, increase blood flow to the area, and boost the production of collagen

❷ USE RETINOL-BASED NECK CREAMS AND SERUMS WITH VITAMIN C – Retinol is invaluable when it comes to cell regeneration. It speeds up the process of cell turnover to produce younger, softer-looking skin

❸ EXFOLIATE YOUR NECK – removing dead cells not only improves the skin’s appearance but it also gets rid of dirt and oil accumulated in the pores leaving fresh skin that is more easily penetrated by anti-aging products. Just remember to use a light touch to ensure you don’t over-exfoliate.

❹ CONSIDER DERMAL FILLERS – this is a great way to plump up the skin in a very targeted way to help smooth wrinkles.  At CrownWood MediSpa, our Medical Doctors are always available to discuss if dermal fillers are a good option for you.

Many of us worry about them but we all know wrinkles are a natural part of the aging process.

We can choose to either live with them or there are viable options to help smooth them or make them less visible.

Wrinkles are caused by a combination of factors, the main one being age. Skin loses its elasticity as we get older, production of natural oils decreases and this causes the appearance of these more-pronounced lines.

But as well as these inevitable biological aspects, there are other external factors to consider which favour the appearance of wrinkles. Exposure to ultraviolet light, whether in the form of sun exposure ☀️ or tanning beds, is the primary cause of early wrinkling. Smoking also has a detrimental effect and can contribute to the formation of wrinkles. Premature aging and skin damage can also be exacerbated by unhealthy habits such as a poor diet and a sedentary lifestyle.
