Mouth Cancer

According to a recent report conducted by the Oral Health Foundation. mouth cancer is continuing to rise throughout the UK. In the last 10 years, cases have risen by 34% and deaths have increased by 75% compared to 10 years ago.

It’s important to be mouth 👄 aware and to be aware of early signs of oral cancer such as long-lasting mouth ulcers which do not seem to heal, red or white patches in the mouth, or unusual lumps or swellings in the mouth, head or neck. The Oral Health Foundation report also highlighted that the cost-of-living crisis represents a major challenge as a lot of people won’t be attending regular check-ups and early signs of oral cancer could

therefore be missed. Late diagnosis is one of the key reasons why mouth cancer survival rates have barely improved in the last 20 years.

If you notice anything out of the ordinary, make sure you visit your dentist. If mouth cancer is caught early, the chances to beat it are actually good.

A little bit about her brilliant background… Alice graduated 🎓 from the University of Arts London in 2002 and is now in her second decade in the facial aesthetics industry.  Before launching our MediSpa her she worked at a whole host of prestigious establishments including the Sanctuary Luxury Health and Beauty Spa in Covent Garden, MediSpa Clinics at Beauty Works West and The Harley Street Clinic in Central London.
