GP waiting times are increasing, making it more difficult for people to get essential investigations done in a timely manner. This means that the process between noticing symptoms, having a check-up, diagnostics, and treatment can often take months or even years.
As a private GP we provide a more streamlined service, with longer appointments and more accurate time-keeping; we ensure that our patients receive the attention they need.
Our appointments allow us to really listen to your worries and create effective plans for your care.
We are committed to providing the highest level of medical care to our patients.

Getting a GP sick note
If you need to get a sick note quickly from a private GP we can help. You may need a private sick note at short notice or have been off work for less than 7 days.
Employers will usually ask for a sick note if you've been sick for more than 7 consecutive days (including non-working days).
You don't even need to be near us in Berkshire. The process is quick and simple and involves:
Booking a quick 15 minute face to face or telephone conversion with our GP
Discussing your condition with our GP
Our GP will decide if you are fit to work or not
Our GP will issue a sick note if they deem you are fit for some work or not fit for work
You will receive the sick note in person or via email after a telephone consultation
Show your employer the sick note
The cost for the consultation and sick note is £85.
Hay fever allergy
If you are experiencing symptoms like sneezing, a runny nose, and itchy, watery eyes, you might be dealing with allergic rhinitis, commonly known as hay fever.
Hay fever can cause nasal inflammation, allergic conjunctivitis, throat, mouth, nose, and ear itchiness, coughing, and fatigue especially during peak times (May - July).
Though not curable, at CrownWood you can minimise your symptoms with hay fever treatment.

Doctor referrals
At CrownWood MediSpa, our private GP can arrange a same-day referral to a specialist service after your initial consultation.
You can easily schedule a face to face, telephone or video consultation with Dr. Raj Dhillon by contacting Lisa, our Patient Care Co-Ordinator on 01344 300 417.
Private GP consultation prices start from £50.
The cost for a referral letter is £35 and you will be invoiced for this after your consultation. Once payment is made, the referral letter will be emailed to you right away.
From there, you are free to take the letter to any private clinic, hospital or consultant that you prefer.
*We can only do referral letters to a private clinic, hospital or consultant. Not NHS related GPs.
Frequently asked private GP questions
Our standard GP consultation is 15 mins, our extended GP consultation is 30 mins. We can also organise longer appointments on request.
We aim to allow plenty of time to discuss your symptoms and concerns without feeling rushed. If you have complex medical issues to discuss, or more than one problem to address we recommend booking an extended consultation.
Unfortunately we do not provide a walk in appointment service, please call the practice in advance to book your appointment.
We do not provide a service for medical emergencies. If you think you have a medical emergency please dial NHS urgent services on 111 or 999 as appropriate, or visit your local Accident and Emergency Department.
Health insurance policies vary widely – please consult your insurance provider for any query regarding your cover.
Please note you will need to pay for your appointment at the time of booking, but we are very happy to provide receipts so you can claim back the cost of your appointment if it is covered by your insurer.
We aim to complement the service you get from the NHS, not replace it. But this does not mean you cannot choose to see us for any aspect of your medical care.
We issue private prescriptions if a medication is indicated. Many items can be less expensive on private prescriptions, and these prescriptions can be dispensed at any retail pharmacy. These do not qualify for the NHS fixed charge (or free to children) prescription.
Please note we do not prescribe Schedule 1, 2 & 3 drugs.
Depending on your wishes, your consultation with us can remain confidential or we can contact your NHS GP to advise that we have seen you, to inform them of health problems, test results, medication prescribed or any referrals made.
It is very important that your GP has this information so that your medical notes are as up-to-date as possible. However, discretion and confidentiality are paramount to us.
We are always happy to discuss this with you further at the time of the consultation.
Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to offer home visits. However we do offer telephone and video consultations.
To book a consultation with our private GP please contact Lisa, our Patient Care Co-Ordinator on 01344 300 417.
